(Late review as just been discussing Sketch in relation to a couple of fine diners we visited in Singapore this week - more Les Amis than Zen.) More We visited a while ago, just as it was awarded the third star, and honestly remember little of the experience other than the funeral parlour like atmosphere.ĭid we get a bad night? It’s genuinely a restaurant I’d be interested in returning to, as was so surprised, but there’s so many great restaurants out there to try (and only so much in the bank account) that we are sadly not likely to take the opportunity. What we got was no atmosphere, virtually pin-drop quiet, stuffy and fussy service.Ĭan’t even say the food made up for it as, whilst absolutely no disasters and all well cooked and prevented, there was nothing memorable. ![]() It doesn’t.įor such a fun and brilliantly decorated venue (every floor of the building!) we were expecting an experience more akin to Fat Duck. is 3 Michelin Stars and not in the 50 Best…but we thought it might buck the general rule.
